I think this looks like a mask to be worn to a masquerade ball of the 1920's. Maybe like a wild bird or a bat.

If I told you, I would have to change it right now. Am I telling the truth? Am I in WPP now? Oh,,, I'll never tell!

It depends on the issue and a number of other factors.

Your PB and J Says You're Adventurous and Accepting
Your eating style is gluttonous. If you like something, you're going back for seconds... no matter how full you are!

You don't really have a sweet tooth. If you go for dessert, you tend to go for something light.

Your taste in food tends to be quite eclectic and wide. You are an adventurous eater, and you like many types of cuisines.

You belong to a class that's all your own. You resist rules and traditions of any sort.

You are a tough person who isn't afraid to live life fully. There isn't a lot that scares you.

Precise and controlled, you can be a bit anal retentive when it comes to how you like things. You're definitely a perfectionist.

Mostly deep in my own mind...the far reaches of memories of great moments in my life. If it has to be somewhere physical, then it all depends on what kind of strength I am striving for...I find peacefulness in cemeteries. I know that sounds kind of strange, but it's true. Mountains. Streams. My porch room...it really just depends on what I need.

Yesterday's post got me thinking about art. I am not an afficianado, but there are artists and pieces of art that have always fascinated me. I love Andy Warhol. I kind of like Monet, but not to the degree others do. Picasso fascinates me. Dali confuses me, but I think his work is really cool most of the time. DaVinci is...well, he's DaVinci and his work is amazing.

Van Gogh is my spiritual art match. I will always stop and look at his painting if they are on a book, magazine or notecards. I've always wanted to know more about him. The art that I looked at most in Paris was his. Since I never took an art class and never had a reason to do research on him or any other artist, I feel like I may have missed out on some secret shared knowledge about the world of art. Columbus has a decent art museum, but that's all it is...decent. I think if I had grown up in the city I might have taken an interst in some art form and might have developed any talent in that area that I could.

My INFJ-ness makes me a prime candidate to be an art historian or museum curator. How cool would that be?

So here is a poll and a quizzie thing that made me smile (although the quiz itself had some odd questions)...
[Poll #1339268]

I am at peace with the country right now. Posted this in peace_signs last week, but it is appropriate again today.

My thoughts are with the Kennedy family as I understand that Teddy collapsed during a luncheon from a seizure.

It seems there are a lot of movies getting good reviews right now. I have gotten in the habit of waiting for the dvd, but some may call for the big screen viewing. My last movie in a theater viewing was The Dark Knight. I thought it was just hype, but I was wrong. Heath Ledger really did bring a darker sense to The Joker.

I've been off work due to surgery though and have been renting a few oddball movies.

So, I'm wondering what is on your movie list right now?

What I might see in the theater:

Benjamin Button
Seven Pounds
Frost/Nixon
Doubt

What's up on my Blockbuster que:

Mama Mia
The Dark Knight
Wall-E

Oh, and if you like Napoleon Dynamite kind of movies, try Eagle vs. Shark or The Foot Fist Way. These are not mainstream movies, so rent with caution for dry, ridiculous humor.

My brother told me on the way to school when I was seven years old and in second grade. I don't think I believed him at first, but it didn't take long. I really wasn't bothered much by it because it never stopped me from enjoying the season and looking forward to waking up early in the morning to see presents that "Santa" left under the tree.

I am not sure I can limit it to one character, but I can say it was the melding of the archetypes of the characters in To Kill A Mockingbird. Read more... )

I can live without any more news about OJ Simpson.
As to a favorite, there are a lot of actors and actresses I like to watch, but none that I consider a favorite among others.

About 10-12 years ago I made a list of things I hadn't done that I thought I would have done by that time in life. I'm going to track that list down and see if I can figure out what, if anything, I can delete and what I need to add. The four major items I can think of are: what I did and didn't do )

So in the middle of this day that started out strangely with the roofers showing up the weather also decided to, shall we say ... SHOW UP! Yeppers, we had a tornado warning while the roofers were on the roof. I went out three times to try to get them to come inside and go downstairs and they wouldn't budge. So Z. and his friend and I went to the basement as per the instructions of our lovely, excitable weathermen. They were on the roof the whole time!!

We came back up about 45 minutes later and, much to my chagrin, we have water spots (HUGE) all over the house. They are almost in every room :-(. Now the roofer has to come back and fix the ceiling when it dries out. Arrgh. This has been a trying day.

On another note, Z. has friends over for a bit of a cookout so that should be fun.
