I'm not quite sure where the break down is when there is a disaster, natural or otherwise. I know that the oil spill and the resulting disasters can be fixed. It just isn't happening. I know that the high-tech exists, but, we are tapping into it and/or "they" (the high-tech peeps) aren't stepping up to make it happen. Bill Gates and Steve Jobs should stop all of the competing and team up with their techies to find a cure. Sell it to BP or the government if you have to and make money from it. I don't care. Just do it. Just fix it. It's either that or close down the Gulf and call it a wash. This is no joke folks. Fix it.

I don't especially like pictures of me..especially as I am aging, but, I don't mind my picture being taken because the picture is generally for the person to have a memory of me. I don't get anxious about pics online so long as they are tasteful. When I post pics online I try to lock them down to help others feel more comfortable.

My favorite and the winner of the one that ALWAYS made me cry! I LOVED Dr. Kildare :-)

This is so easy for me. I would hire a private jet and an French translator and take myself, spouse and dog to Paris. We would eat in cafe's, travel south, and write or take pictures of our dream culture.

Happy Saint Lucia Day! Swedish meatballs, Jul Glogg, Ginger Cookies and noodles on the menu.

To all....I am sooo far behind on Christmas Cards. I am thinking they might be New year's cards this year! Thanks to everyone who has sent me one. I'll get them to you...PROMISE!!

Cookie party was great fun last night. All in all this is a good weekend.

Z. decided at the last minute to travel to New Orleans with a friend's church group to participate in the ongoing hurricane Katrina relief. It's good for him. The friend is a girl from college that we really like. He relates better to girls so I think the trip and the work is really a positive step. He is now enrolled in an associate degree program in digital photography (apple not falling far from tree) program at Columbus State Community College. His GPA is up so he left OU on a good note.

Off to clean house and cook food!

a Break

Taking a break from Thanksgiving clean up and school work to get caught up on LJ friends and posts.

1_stepfarther is working. Z. is having a band practice. He was out until 3 this morning. It's going to take some getting used to having him live in the house again. He is already talking about moving in with someone...uh, you do know you need money right? LOL. He does know!

Snowmen are out and strategically placed around the house. The house lights are up and ready for lighting. I'm glad that it is only 3 weeks until I am off for two. I r e a l l y do not want to go to work tomorrow.

I N E E D to lose weight, but to do so I would need to eat less. Hmmmm.....I'm just sayin'...

PIRATE RADIO is worth the ticket! LOVED the music and Phillip Seymour Hoffman is amazingly genuine in his acting. Great British comedy and story line...although I think the movie was released as The Boat that Rocked over in the UK. I prefer Pirate Radio.

Book

My book idea is really starting to take on a life of it's own. I just need to figure out a way to really make the transition from idea to outline/rough draft. The research part will take at least a year, but I'm writing it all down in my notebook and my wordpress blog as I go along.

I was prompted by a post elsewhere to ponder a question about a novel based on my own life and I've been pondering it all day. Who would author it and in what genre? What would my role in the book be? What time period? I wonder what the cover would look like.

What about you dear readers? What kind of a "novel" character are you?
